Narrative Storytelling
& Studio Operations
Building Kharece Productions LLC from an independent studio to an award-winning narrative engine and 5.0-star rated production company — before bringing those same systems into enterprise.

From Independent Studio to Operational Leadership
Before building scalable video infrastructure inside enterprise environments, I built and operated my own production company. Through Kharece Productions, I wrote, directed, produced, and delivered award-recognised films, a web series, and commercial projects — while maintaining a 5.0-star client rating across 30 verified reviews.
This was not hobby filmmaking. It was full-cycle creative and operational ownership: client acquisition, creative direction, production logistics, post-production delivery, and brand governance — all managed independently.
This experience became the operational foundation for how I later built scalable enterprise programs in corporate environments. The discipline didn't change. The scale did.
"This was not hobby filmmaking. It was full-cycle creative and operational ownership — the same muscles required at Director level, exercised without infrastructure."

Full accountability — creative and operational — alone
Every resource required from-scratch negotiation

DEVELOPMENT → PRE-PRODUCTION → PRODUCTION → POST → DISTRIBUTION
01
Infrastructure Design
Standardized script breakdowns, shot architecture templates, and post-production delivery pipelines for both narrative and commercial work. Built from scratch — no existing playbooks to inherit.
02
Stakeholder & Client Governance
Managed complex negotiations with historical venues, union and non-union talent, and commercial clients including OXO and Pampers. Maintained clear scope alignment, timeline transparency, and a 5.0-star delivery record throughout.
03
Resource Orchestration
Mastered lean production — securing premium locations, high-end equipment, catering, and crew through reputation-based negotiation. Built a production model where professional credibility replaced capital.
04
Distribution Strategy
Managed the full lifecycle: festival submissions, marketing, technical compliance, and VOD delivery to Amazon Prime. Built and maintained a social distribution ecosystem for web series content alongside platform distribution.
Stakeholder Alignment
& Relationship Equity
Running an independent production company is a masterclass in cross-functional alignment. Every stakeholder required a different approach — artistic, logistical, legal, or commercial.
CREATIVE & TALENT
Casting Directors, Union & Non-Union Actors
Managed talent alignment across productions — connecting artistic goals with schedule and production constraints. Directed both professional actors and emerging talent toward cohesive narrative performance.
PHYSICAL ASSETS & LOCATIONS
Historical Site Partners — The Meredith House
Negotiated filming rights at The Meredith House, a historical site in Atlanta, GA, securing premium visual infrastructure at zero cost. Required credibility, strategic alignment, and external stakeholder trust — real-world equivalents to enterprise partnership management.
TECHNICAL CREW
DPs, Gaffers, Sound Recordists, Editors
Led technical crew through complex shoots under compressed timelines. Managed expectations through professional trust and creative vision — not financial leverage. Delivered cohesive, high-quality output without traditional incentive structures.
PLATFORM PARTNERS
Amazon Prime Video & Festival Platforms
Coordinated technical compliance, rights management, and delivery requirements with Amazon Prime and FilmFreeway. Navigated platform-specific standards across VOD and festival distribution channels simultaneously.

Project Deep Dives

Narrative Repositioning: Feature to Serialized Web Series
When the original Ashes feature film stalled at 80% completion due to resource and timeline constraints, the instinct would be to shelve the project. The leadership move was to perform a full narrative audit and pivot the asset into a more viable format.
THE CHALLENGE
A feature-length production stalled at 80% completion. Significant time, resource, and creative equity already invested — with distribution out of reach in current format.
THE LEADERSHIP MOVE
Performed a full narrative audit. Restructured and repurposed existing material into a serialized web series format — recovering creative value, enabling distribution, and building an original content ecosystem.
Ashes moved from stalled feature to award-winning web series — with Best Director recognition at Kalakari and a built-from-scratch social distribution ecosystem. Strategic pivots require the same instinct in enterprise: audit, reframe, recover value.
Catharsis
SHORT FILM · PSYCHOLOGICAL THRILLER
A concept written in under ten minutes, elevated through craft, discipline, and real-world resource negotiation into a multi-festival selection.

Prague International Film Awards — Best Actor
Kosice International Film Festival — Best Horror
Southeast Regional Film Festival — Finalist
Los Angeles CineFest — Semi Finalist
New York Cinematography Awards — Semi Finalist
Kalakari Film Festival — Official Selection
Women in Horror Film Festival — Official Selection
Take It Easy Film Festival — Official Selection
Concept Velocity + Historical Location Partnership
Catharsis began as a script written in under ten minutes — a personal internal dialogue from a first-year college writing session. Years later, I chose to develop it into a finished cinematic piece. The foundation was fast. The execution was deliberate.
THE CHALLENGE
Zero production budget for a period piece requiring atmospheric, premium visual environments. Standard location costs would make the project financially unviable.
THE LEADERSHIP MOVE
Negotiated filming access at The Meredith House — a historical site in Atlanta, GA — at zero cost, leveraging professional reputation and strategic alignment with the venue's mission. Premium visual infrastructure secured through relationship equity.
A 10-minute concept became six official festival selections and a "Best Actor" win at Prague International Film Awards. This is exactly the type of stakeholder trust and negotiation capability required in Director-level roles where resource stewardship is constant.

Character-driven dialogue film — written, produced, shot, and distributed in under four weeks.

Take It Easy Film Festival — Award Winner
Georgia Shorts Film Festival — Official Selection
Atlanta Film Showcase — Official Selection
Zero-Capital Orchestration & Prime Distribution
Written in one day. Cast and in pre-production within two to three weeks. Shot entirely in one location across a single twelve-hour production day. Effective budget: zero dollars. What made it possible was orchestration — not capital.
THE CHALLENGE
Compress an entire production lifecycle — writing, casting, logistics, shoot, post — into under four weeks, with no budget and no existing infrastructure to lean on.
THE LEADERSHIP MOVE
Secured location, equipment, crew, and catering entirely through professional trust and relationship capital. Built a detailed shot schedule to maximize 12 continuous production hours without sacrificing narrative clarity.
My Talk With Shelly moved from a single-day micro-budget shoot to a distributed title on Amazon Prime. The skill that made this possible — mobilizing teams without financial leverage, delivering under extreme time constraints — translates directly into enterprise creative leadership.
